Get to know the Freixo Bridge

The construction of the Freixo Bridge began in 1988 and was completed in 1995. The project was led by engineer António Reis. The bridge is an imposing structure, with a total length of about 1,500 meters. During construction, advanced engineering techniques were used to cope with the strong currents and geological conditions of the riverbed. The Freixo Bridge continues to be a symbol of progress, connection and advanced engineering, representing the importance of infrastructure in urban evolution.
